in exchange for my honest opinion.
About the book:
Harry Mills is a
guardian angel on a mission: help twenty-four-year-old Addie Folsom get her
life back on track – and, if the right moment strikes, help her find love.
Posing as a teacher at a local college in Tacoma, Washington, Harry is up to
the task, but not even he can predict the surprises that lay in store.
My review:
A light,
entertaining Christmas story.
Debbie Macomber
once again develops quite an array of characters. Addie Folsom displays her
maturity throughout the story as she deals with a difficult situation and a
difficult neighbor. Harry Mills is a guardian angel on his first mission to
earth. I really enjoyed Debbie’s ideas on what it is like for an angel to take
on a human body.
There is only one
thing that did disappoint me in this novel. I’ve read a number of other Christmas
stories by Debbie. Each of them had multiple riotous comedic scenes in them. I
only found a few amusing scenes in this story and I missed being able to let
loose with laughter.
